Robertson spoke about his wish to increase Police relationships with organisations like Citizens Advice and his plans for increasing joint funding arrangements in order to prevent people entering the criminal justice plans.

Following on from the meeting, Robertson said:

"I found this meeting to be incredibly useful in helping set out how Essex Police under my leadership can be more inclusive to the communities it serves.

There was a strong agreement on a public health approach to drug policy and for joint funding arrangements to provide community training in areas like online fraud prevention.
